Blog

I have developed the habit of blogging since 2018. Through observation in my daily life, reviewing films, dramas and books, I find peace and have self-reflection in my positioning in relationships with people, institutes and the world. It also enriches my knowledge because I have to read various resources to make an argument and cite examples. I also practice how to write and express my thoughts in the process.

Previously, all of my writing were in Chinese and were published on the website of “Narrative Practice Valley Village”.  It was because I would like to introduce Narrative Practice to the Chinese community on the borderless internet. On this page I will share a selection of my previous articles.

Upon my move to the UK, I hope to share my observation and reflection in both Chinese and English from a Narrative Practice perspective of a settler in relationship with identities, cultural differences, homeland and the host country.

Diagnosis disclaimer*

* A diagnosis does not define who a person is. It is simply a description of a cluster of behaviours and symptoms, but does not explain how they came to be.  It is a shorthand method of communication among clinicians and should never be used as an indication of an individual’s worth.

Acknowledgement

I would like to acknowledge persons who invited me to listen to their genuine sharing of experience, knowledge and skills with trust.
